Petit

From a very young age, I have spent hours in the kitchen, working on myriads of recipes to satisfy my sweet tooth. As I grew older and busier, baking became a therapy of sorts, something to get me out of my head and get my creative juices flowing. I love the process of playing around with different ingredients, combining them until they blend together perfectly. One of the biggest joys in my life is bringing people together with food, and that is what Petit is all about.


A few years ago, a bad infection left me weakened, and I could no longer tolerate the sweets I had loved all my life. My habitual cookie and ice-cream binge days were behind me, or so I thought. For the first time in my life, I started thinking about how the ingredients I was using were affecting my body. For the most part, baking consists of “traditional” ingredients, such as butter, white sugar and white flour. I decided to start experimenting with alternatives, hoping to find ingredients that have nutritional benefits on top of being delicious.


I am very excited to bring you Petit, a place where you can find delicious, better-for-you, sweet treats! I work with a wide variety of ingredients, such as nut butters, coconut flour and dates, to bring you more nutritious alternatives, as well as some more traditional treats. I want everyone entering Petit - regardless of food allergies or intolerances - to find something that will make their day sweeter!
